Job Description

Job Purpose

Provides support for the design, procurement, installation and configuration of all site IT infrastructure to support effective and efficient technology use at the site (e.g., electrical power, HVAC, LAN, servers, disaster recovery, etc.) Perform asset management functions for all IT assets within site (s). Primary operational responsibilities include the management and support of application distribution, operating system deployment (OSD), data collection, and reporting capabilities for SCCM. Must be knowledgeable in multiple technology areas including client computer hardware, server systems administration, operating systems, and scripting for the desktop.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, test and configure infrastructures and solutions for various applications and configurations
  • Utilize strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or other system issues
  • Identifies and creates processes to integrate technology improvements into business processes
  • Provides Level 3 technical support in critical production support issues interacting with Developers and Architects
  • Work collaboratively across a variety of business units to implement new technology and support existing technologies
  • Troubleshoots any technical difficulty with PC hardware and software issues, internet, network applications, configurations and peripheral equipment
  • Works with enterprise support groups and outside vendors to resolve problems or issues Manages software and hardware inventory corporate-wide using WASP inventory management system
  • Design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on system design specifications
  • Coordinates through the change management process to move, install, upgrade, remove and configure site IT assets and supporting infrastructure. Manages mobile devices for all services to include end user training
  • Supports and conducts routine audits of site IT assets and processes to ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with Governmental regulations and policies
  • Develops infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using configuration language and scripting tool
  • Responsible for projects including the implementation of remediation activities, patch management, and firmware updates in a highly complex environment
  • Monitoring, maintaining, deploying Microsoft SCCM Platform health and mitigate identified problems
  • Ability to add/remove/change programs available in SCCM Application Catalog
  • Written and oral communication skills for non-technical audiences.

Job Requirements

Experience and Educational Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • 4 Years’ experience in IT in an Operations environment. An operations environment is defined as Server, Network, Desktop support, and management. Support of both software and hardware in the operations environment.
